Where It All Began

It started with an ice cream machine — a gift that sparked something extraordinary. Paul began churning small batches of bold, handcrafted ice cream and taking them to local Johannesburg markets. The response was immediate and enthusiastic.

In 2014, Paul partnered with his friend Josh to fill a gap they both saw — the lack of premium, creative ice cream in South Africa. Together they set out to make high-quality, playful desserts accessible to everyone.

From Scoops to a Movement

What started as scoops quickly expanded into sticks, sandwiches, cakes, and even pet treats. Paul's Homemade grew to over 30 stores nationwide — but the heart of the brand remained the same: handcrafted quality and a sense of fun in every bite.
